Location: Brown County Kress Library, De Pere
The Great Fire of 1871 and its effect on the Belgium Community. Details of the Great Fire of 1871 will come to life in Barb’s presentation, she is a fifth generation American of Belgium decent, whose ancestors survived the disasters fire.

Barb Engelbert-Chisholm is the secretary of the Peninsula Belgian-American Club and has given many educational presentations concerning The Great Fire of 1871.

Join us for an in-depth exploration of the FamilySearch website and other resources available at the Green Bay History Center. We will demonstrate how to create a family tree on FamilySearch and link to records found in FamilySearch, Ancestry, FindMyPast, and MyHeritage.

See you in Court! Untangling court records and understanding the legalese, is a specialty of the staff of the UW-Green Bay Area Research Center. This presentation will give you the opportunity to explore these records and learn more about them. We will be sharing more details about the genealogical value of court records and offering an opportunity for you to do research. In addition to Brown County the ARC holds records for Calumet, Door, Florence, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie and Shawano counties.
